It's that time where I have to start thinking about my son's future (in long term.)  So, I contacted the Canine Companions for Independence about a dog for my son, who turns 15 on June 2nd.  And in visiting their website I came across "Marvelous Mercer."  Marvelous Mercer is an assistance dog for a 12-year-old little girl (who is probably the youngest published author next to Mozart.)  So, if you're looking for a good read, please visit her website at www.marvelousmercer.com.

"Steps to Independence:  Teaching Everyday Skills to Children with Special Needs" written by, Bruce L. Baker, Alan J. Brightman (and others).
This book is in it's 4th edition.
If you have a child with special needs, ambulatory or not, I highly recommend this book to parents.
